Oil Stretch Marks? Some people call them “badges of honor” but to be honest, I just want to call mine: GONE! So I began my search for stretch mark removers.I did find a ton of information, solutions mostly consisting of using creams and ointments and… oil. Now That sounds logical to me. So what kind of oil would I use and does it really work? It’s interesting to see the answers. One of the oils that I saw referenced continually in my research was vitamin E. It’s known as a powerful antioxidant that is used for many health conditions, including skin problems. It is said that vitamin E can be used as a topical ointment by breaking open the capsules and applying them directly to the skin. The vitamin E oil will help to soften the skin thus reducing our stretch mark scars… or so “they” say. The flip side of the coin is that there is no scientific evidence that this works. In fact, there is a great deal of controversy as to whether or not this treatment actually make the scars worse, not better. Because of this controversy, I’m choosing to stay away from concentrated vitamin E capsules and will look closer another suggestion, emu oil. Emu oil is made from the fat of the emu bird. This is because emu oil contains high concentrations of Oleic and Linolenic and Palmitic Acid. Our skin needs these components to stimulate new skin cells but our body does not produce it one it’s own. Emu oil works to hydrate and soften skin! Emu oil doesn’t just sit on your skin; it penetrates deeply into the layers of your skin for fast results. Emu oil has been stated to not only heal new stretch marks but in some cases, can fade and heal older marks as well. There are many other natural oil remedies that we can use to fade or remove stretch marks. Vitamin E and Emu Oil are two of the most widely recommended. From my perspective, I believe that there is a real reason to believe that we can oil stretch marks and actually make them at the very least, less noticeable… and finally feel great in a bathing suit again!
